Internet Access
It is vital that students have a strong WIFI connection as all classes are carried out on Zoom.

Behaviour in Class
Students are expected to be punctual, respectful and behave appropriately in class. It is
forbidden to make a recording of the class or to distribute a recording. If a student is deemed
to be disrespectful or/and make an illegal recording, then they can be removed from the

class and no refund will be provided.

Accessing the online class and notes
All weekly classes take place on Zoom and are one hour in duration.
Downloading Zoom onto a laptop or PC will ensure easier and quicker access to all classes.
It is preferable that students log onto classes on a laptop or
PC to ensure they can view the content.
Upon payment, students will receive access to Zoom and notes and resources used in
teaching and learning.
It is forbidden to distribute notes from classes to students outside of the class groups. A lot of
work and preparation has gone into creating content.

Price
All 5th year and LC group classes (of 8 students) cost 36 euro
5th Year and LC twice weekly classes for students where Spanish is not offered in
your school cost 60 e per week (2 classes)
Additional assessments, correction and feedback are provided.
JC group classes cost 35 euro per student.
JC twice weekly classes for students where Spanish is not offered in your school cost
35 euro per class.
Additional assessments, correction and feedback are provided.
JC spoken Spanish class is 25 euro per student.
The group class rate only applies whereby 2 or more students sign up to a group class,
otherwise the individual class rate applies.
Classes are paid monthly in advance.
Parents can sign up for this in advance of the coming month.
Students can join the class mid-month whereby they will only pay for classes attended
in that month.
In the event that a student is absent for a class or knows in advance that they cannot
attend the class, the class must still be paid for as students have access to all notes,
homework and can complete homework before the next class.
A student will not be allowed access to the class or to any class material unless the
monthly payment is paid in advance.
Subscription payment reminders are sent once a month.
The last subscription payment is paid at the end of April.

Class Attendance

All students will be assigned to a class group and assigned a day and time where
weekly classes will take place. Please ensure that you are punctual in attending all
classes.
Absent students can access class material and homework online so they are not
missing content.
Classes will not be recorded and it is forbidden to record and/or distribute recorded
material.

Cancellations and refunds
Individual classes- whereby a parent/guardian cancels a one to one class without
giving 24 hours notice, then a no refund policy will apply or change of class time
will be not be possible.
Consistent cancelation of individual classes may result in the cancellation of that
class. Weekly attendance is required in order to secure your place and achieve
success.
In the event that parents/guardians wish to cancel their monthly subscription, they can
do so at least 24 hours in advance of the renewal date to avoid further charges for the

In the case where a student misses a group class, they will not receive a refund as they
have access to all class notes and can complete homework before the next class. Credit
cannot be carried over to the following month.

Group Masterclasses
Exam focused group masterclasses will take place on Zoom and students will receive a
downloaded PDF resource (notes) when they pay and sign up to the classes.
Students will be muted in the class and their cameras will be turned off. Students can have
input by using the chat option on Zoom.

Guarantee of Results
All notes, resources and class instruction are exam focused and created to specifically teach
to the Junior Cert or Leaving Cert exam. However, we cannot guarantee any specific results
or grades as this is dependent on many variables including but not limited to the student´s
attendance, study routine and dedication to the subject.
By availing of these classes, you acknowledge that a specific result or grade is not
guaranteed.

Precision of notes and resources
At Spanishwithdervla, our aim is to ensure that all class materials, resources and notes are
current, accurate and without errors.
However, in spite of every effort to ensure accuracy, there may be occasional inaccuracies in
the content.
